NewsNeil Young helps with wife's albumNeil Young has helped out on his wife's debut album. Pegi Young's self-titled LP will come out on June 11, and features her husband on a variety of instruments. The album will feature the tracks 'Heterosexual Masses','Fake', 'Love Like Water' and covers of songs by Spooner Oldham and Dan Penn. Speaking about her husband's input, Pegi told Reuters: "Leading up to it, I put the band together and we just sort of avoided discussing whether Neil was going to play on it or not. "He dropped by the first day and kind of listened, and the next day, the guys at the studio had wisely created a little space for him, should he want to participate at all. And then he just ended up playing on everything, all the way though." U2 Tower gets approval One of the world's most famous architects has been chosen to oversee the construction of The U2 Tower, reports ITN. Norman Foster, the brains behind the Gherkin in London and the Millau Viaduct in France, was selected by Dublin's Docklands Development Authority. He will now head-up the operation for the city's first ever skyscraper, which will reach a height of 120m and cost around 200 millions euros. Commissioned by Geranger Ltd, a consortium including the members of the Irish rock group, the tower will apparently feature an egg-shaped recording studio at its peak. Work on the landmark is expected to commence next year with a completion date scheduled for 2011. |
